adashofsunny Prompt Nights – Truth is stranger than Fiction
“Excuse me”, I said, “I’m looking for a book”.
She looked up, raised her left eyebrow,
looked at me over the top of her glasses,
and said, “you’re in the right place, this is a library”.
“Untraceable Poisons.”
She grinned, “You planning to kill your wife?
“No,” I said. “Her boyfriend” and winked.
Lol I loved the closing lines 😀 such a fun and witty response to the prompt 😀 Excellent write.
Thank you so much for participating Debi 😀
Lots of love,
Sanaa

This made me giggle. Such wicked (and mildly terrifying) delight in their exchange. Love that we can’t quite tell whose being truthful and who isn’t… or who might end up as a corpse after all is said and done.
