Passion of Poetry

adashofsunny Passion makes the world go round prompt by Sanaa Rizvi
Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting week at Prompt Nights. We welcome passion, for the mind is briefly let off duty. Let us think for a moment about how our life would be without passion. I am guessing it would be pretty damn boring, don’t you think? Tonight, I want each and every one of you to write a poem or prose piece revolving around passion. Delve deep and tell us what exactly you are passionate about in your life.

The saddest thing
for a poet
is having nothing to say
or rather
not being able to say
what one feels
when feeling so
deeply,
intensely,
achingly,
numinously.
It’s like
being swallowed by a
Merriam-Webster and
stuck in the throat of mute.

    Lots of love,
