Synesthesia & Words

Miz Quickly  November 22  Synesthesia

The bells in the church tower ring
shaded tones. Lovely peals of silvery
threads and tendrils of titanium white
float around the spire. They rise,
like holy incense notes, as from a
censer swinging back and forth,
silvery white mist, of frankincense,
myrrh, cedar and rose.

Miz Quickly  November 23: Words
I used: argument bottom flavor lady match pink

The lady drinks Pink Lady’s
cause she favors the flavor of gin
“Bottoms up” she grins wickedly
and raises her glass to the men.
She knows she can match them
glass for glass…. and win.
No argument there, they yell
we’ll take it on the chin,
cause if we try to match you,
they’ll be informing our next of kin!

I love the synesthesia poem. Such a beautiful response to that prompt. And I love your lady, too, even if I don’t agree with her about the taste of gin!
