anger, stop signs, danger, jealousy,
the wrong side of the ledger.
Red is not subtle, soft, comforting,
it is not love but passion, lust, abuse,
need, greed. Red is not namby-pamby,
uncertain, introverted, meek, it is…

mortification. Red is fire, the sun’s core,
